Wow, I didn't realize how long it has been since I wrote on this thing yet it only felt like yesterday as we have been so busy working and organizing things for the trip. Well we are now down to single figures until we set of and we have gone into overdrive, getting the house clean and ready for our house sitter, using my best friend ebay and buying up big time on some needs and wants for the trailer and car, packing and unpacking and so forth trying to get as much in as we can with the limited space we have.
I think now with Christmas over and the fact that we have done so much work up until now, Laura and I are now a bit more calm and ready to get going, our mood has turned from worried if we have everything and if we're going to fit it in to now being anxious and excited to leave. One person who is really keen to go is Makenzie who is forever asking when we are going camping, I can see that she is going to love this adventure and get so much out of it.
One of the things that has changed a few times is our trip plan which has had a few makeovers in the last month or so. When we first dreamt this up(when I first dreamt this up) the plan was to take 12 to 14 months to travel around the country with myself finding work where I could and Laura continuing to do her business stuff. Well since then I have just completed a good job at home and there is going to be further opportunity in about April and September next year which is too good to pass up so we will now travel until I get a phone call for work, come back and work for a couple of months, then set away again. But the beauty of it is that this could all change again many a time.
I think I said this last time I posted but I guess now that I'm not working and we are actually going to be travelling I will be posting on here more frequently I hope.
